The PPGO-UFG has four topics of research:

(1) Perspectives in clinical dentistry: It studies different aspects of clinical interventions adopted in dental procedures and their impact to professional and patient, as well as investigates resources, devices and methods to optimize the storage, retrieval and information management for problem solving and Decision making at the dental clinic.

 (2) Dental Materials Performance: Analyzes the physical, mechanical, chemical and biological properties of dental materials and equipment.

 (3) Stomatognathic System Changes Management: Investigates the etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and / or treatment of changes related to the stomatognathic system, as well as research resources, devices and methods to optimize the storage, retrieval and management of biomedical information for problem solving and decision making.

 (4) Collective oral health: Investigates aspects related to the occurrence, distribution and determinants of diseases in dentistry, as well as research resources, devices and methods to optimize storage, retrieval and information management with emphasis on health promotion.
